The Best Thing To Happen to Bloggers since Blogger: Askmefast.com

Okay folks, I know it's been a while. I had a job, lost the job. Had vertebrae in my neck just like everyone else and had to have one taken out. Laid around for almost a year waiting to get better. Finally gave up on getting better and started writing again!

Okay, enough about me! Now about you! Bloggers need to know what questions the bulk of the public is asking in order to get traffic. It's all in the software every guru on the internet is trying to sell you and in the books they write to get you to buy the "Automatic Weapon" for "Massive Traffic" so you know it's the truth.
The site linked to this blog is Ask Me Fast! It's the best thing I have seen for a blogging tool since Google.

The difference is that with all of the search engines you have to know what questions to ask in order to find out how many people are asking the question, at Ask me Fast you can see the questions in real time; check niche's for how many questions there are. You can click on Popular to get an idea of what answers people are really looking for. It's an amazing free tool for bloggers.

Do NOT post your links in the chat room there to get more traffic. I would never suggest or condone doing that. Use the questions as a way to find out what to write about. Answer some questions in your Niche to get votes and a higher score there; prove you're expertise. DO use the same blogger nickname for this site and all your other sites so your fans can find you.

That's it, join free, look around and have some fun finding new questions, new answers and new friends. The site is very social so be a good friend and you'll gain many good friends! Talk to you soon!

Still Learning.

Yesterday I spent the better part of the day creating a Web Site. No it isn't finished! It is not as easy as it looks! They always offer you templates, and that part is simple. I have learned to make links in text with the handy built in tools. However, on the first try, after spending an hour working on my Front Page I decided to change one link. I am not computer literate, so a box came up with a dozen options none of which were the one I wanted.

I clicked cancel... All of my work disappeared from the screen, no getting it back. So, lesson one would be always save!

I finally finished building a second time and proudly called my Uncle. He has HTML code in his blood, having worked on the second Computer ever created! Not PCs mind you, the genuine article. My Uncle was in the military and has been all over the world working on computer technology and electronics since before the home computer and Microsoft was a twinkle in Bill Gates eye. He checked out my web site and said "I can't read it. What is your screen resolution set at?"

Okay, so I didn't know that would make a difference. He laughed at me. Yes it does. I was set at the highest setting, factory preset actually. 1440xWhatever! Yeah, so I went back and forth low to see the problems, high to start the repairs. ow it is readable no matter what resolution you use, but for building, I have to use the lowest setting.

The point is if you are trying to build a web site and you think it looks great, try looking at it again with various  Screen Resolution settings, there are a lot of people out there, and if they get to your web site and find it a mess they will move on.

Thanks Uncle Chuck!

So this is my first day here

March 22, 2010: I have been writing on Hub Pages for two months now and finally find a blog account I can use? Okay, so I am not the sharpest tack in the box. I created a blog elsewhere a few weeks ago, and couldn't find it.I felt pretty defeated and gave up on blogging, concentrating on Hubbing.

I have over forty hubs now, and even though they seem popular enough, I have been reminded that I need a blog... Who could have known this would be so easy? Certainly not me. (tack, box, you get the idea).

The best part of this is that I can just say how I feel without having to come up with a new idea. Writing is my strong suit, I will admit. Inspiration comes easy to me. The other stuff that goes along with Internet marketing? Not So Much! I have read and studied and applied myself. I do not get the keyword tools or back link jargon. I write articles on what strikes my fancy. I love too/live to write. I don't know how to create a web site or "monetize". The good news is, on blogger and on Hub Pages there are some really brilliant people who do.

Bad news? Yeah the tack and the box again. I hope if you are reading this and know how to explain things you will give me a leg up. If you are reading this, and like me have no clue? Take heart. What I learn I will share with you, here.

So a bit about Hub Pages! It is free! You can earn money in a variety of ways, Adsense, Amazon, Kontera, and if you follow some of the technical Hubbers you can find a lot more.

If you are a poet, you will be happy there. If you have a different view of the world than you see on the news or in the media, come and share. There are many writers and even some who are readers, plus a vast forum to have fun, engage in debate, ask for help, or just join challenges. Writers join to get published in a community that understands them, while readers join to be kept abreast of the latest topics.

I hope you will come and visit Hub Pages, and me, and the many friends I have made there.
